CAN YOU FIGHT?

You being a Christian doesn’t make a peace-deal with our Arch – enemy the devil. It is only a sign to him that a great terrorist has been borne.
The bible told us in the book of Ephesians 6 : 12
“We war not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers…..”
People of timbre and caliber, people of “thick” muscular strength People who have power to devour, who can do great mischief People whose sole aim is to destroy any available “weak” Christian.
God himself said:
“Be of good cheer, for I have overcome the world……..”
The statement I have overcome the world is not an empty promise But it needs a “catalyst” before it could work The needed “catalyst” is encrypted in the statement
“FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT OF FAITH”
“Spiritual Fight” : is not just the mere “throwing of punches , wrestling , or “matcheting” the enemy but we have to launch an attack using our “Time tested and trusted” weapon known as the greatest weapon and the best one can bank on for any fight The two-edged sword:
“THE WORD OF GOD”! The greatest enemy of the devil is the “word of God”- Jesus Christ commanded the devil using His word He said
“Get thee behind me, oh devil Immediately the devil left him alone And He has commanded us to do same, not to seek an alliance with him but to,
“Resist the devil, and he shall flee! Thus, mere “binding” and “loosing” in prayer would not suffice; we need to know the right “word” to use for every invasion and attack of the devil. For instance: An attack on our Health means we are to tell the devil the word of God concerning our health Because the word of God said in the book of
Isaiah 53 : 5 “……by his stripes, we are healed……” so I’ve got to be healed, devil you are a liar .then we can command the spirit of sickness to leave and it shall flee A death threat by the Devil means we are to look in the book of psalms and remind god of his promise of life.
……”I shall not DIE! But live to declare the wonders of his name” (emphasis mine)
The Holy Bible should be a believers most loved and admired book and not a “comic”, catalog” or immoral magazines” In conclusion: For every new level you attain in the “journey of faith” there is always a corresponding attack of the devil but there is a word of God that gave us the assurance that we are “WINNERS”
“Revelation 12 : 11 says …..”And they overcame him by the blood of the lamb and by the word of their testimonies………”
You need not give the devil a chance to mess up your life and purpose ’cos he’s got no good intentions and plans for your life because it is clearly written in the Devil’s mission statement
: ! to kill and destroy ! to waste great minds !to weaken Christians
………..”but the son of man is come to give us life , That we may have it more abundantly……….” All you need is just a “word from God” for every situation
LET US PRAY!
Our Dearest Heavenly and Sovereign Lord , We thank you for the light of truth, you shed on us in your word Thus, helping us know that our victory id dependent on our knowledge of your word, which is our compass for a successful life, here on earth. Give us more grace to always study your gracious words LORD Give us the grace to hearken to the instruction contained in your word Lord we call on you to fight our every fight on our very behalf And make us victors, that we may have the full cause to give you all the glory Thank you Yahweh! Thank you Jesus! Thank you Lord! In Jesus name! Amen !

Secret #3 - Part 5

This Bible study has been taken from chapter 8 of LIVE BEFORE YOU DIE

So you think God has spoken to you, but you’re not completely sure? We’ve all been there. The truth is that sometimes God’s voice is easy to recognize, and sometimes it’s not. If there is a question in your mind about whether or not something you’re sensing is from God, ask yourself the following questions. Is it biblical? If the answer to this question is no, then you have your answer. God will never tell you to do anything that is contrary to His Word. Even if what you are sensing feels so real and so strong, watch out! There are many spirits in the world but only one Holy Spirit. And the Holy Spirit will never contradict the Scriptures. Is this causing confusion in my heart? If the answer to this question is yes, then what you are sensing probably is not from God because God is not the author of confusion (1 Cor. 14:33). Jesus likened His people to sheep, and sheep are very easily frightened and confused. God may challenge us to think differently about things or to reach out to new levels of faith, but He doesn’t create confusion or the doubt and strife that often accompany it. Is this producing peace in my heart? Jesus’s voice comes with an awareness of heavenly peace. In contrast, the devil uses urgency, pressure, and fear to drive people. There can certainly be exceptions to this rule. Sometimes the Lord speaks words of correction and rebuke. There are also situations when the word of the Lord is time sensitive and immediate action is required. But most of the time when God speaks, it is not a driving, demanding, high-pressure, “You have to do this right now or else!” word. If you believe God is speaking to warn you of imminent danger and you must react quickly, then do so. But if you believe God is speaking to you to quit your job, sell your house, and go to the mission field before next Thursday, it might be best to slow down a bit, get into the Word, and seek some godly counsel. Have I quieted my desires and self-interest? The voice of our own longings, interests, and opinions can easily be confused with God’s voice. To make sure what we are hearing is from God, we must identify our desires and self-interests and, as an intentional act of our will, neutralize them. The louder the voice of our own will, the quieter God’s voice will be. Conversely, the quieter the voice of our own will, the louder God’s voice will be. Therefore, if what you are sensing grows quieter as you silence your desires, then it is not from God. But if what you are sensing grows stronger as you neutralize your own desires, then it just might be from the Holy Spirit. SUMMATION OF THE TEN COMMANDMENTS:                LOVE

EXODUS 20: 1 – 26

Welcome to this season of reflections this morning as we take a quick review of the Ten Commandments and summing them all up in one word: LOVE

·        Thou shalt have no other gods beside me

·        Thou shalt not call the name of the lord in vain

·        Remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy

·        Honor thy father and thy mother that thy days may be long

·        Thou shalt not kill

·        Thou shalt not commit adultery

·        Thou shalt not steal

·        Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor

·        Thou shalt not lie

·        Love your God , and your neighbor as thyself

·         

Highlighted above are the ten commandments of God, the only key to obeying rules or commandments is LOVE

If you’re constantly struggling to keep any of the commandments, it means LOVE is missing. If we sum up all the Ten Commandments above, it gives LOVE as the result therefore the greatest of the commandments is LOVE.

LOVE: love is the most universally used word but the least understood word on earth. Hatred, adultery, lies and falsehood , and all sort of evil acts still persist around the earth because we only profess to love on our lips we don’t really understand the meaning of LOVE.

No man or woman can exhibit the true meaning of love without the grace of God because LOVE is the hardest and most complicated phenomenon for the natural man.

            To love something or someone is to accept the thing or person’s flaws, likes and dislikes and infuse them into our own likes without seeking to change them and always ensuring we don’t do things that tamper with our love for them.

Therefore when we profess to love God , we are merely lip-talking it , you can’t claim to love God if you don’t love the man and woman you see on earth.

One of the finest quality of love is this , where Love truly exists , everyone is protected because no one seeks to hurt the other or does something solely for their own good , everyone’s welfare is put into consideration before any action is taken .

Love cares about others s it does about we ourselves.

CHARACTERISTICS OF LOVE

·        Love is gentle

·        Love is kind

·        Love is passionate about others

·        Love feels people’s pains

·        Love cares about others

·        Love does not seek to hurt people and make us happy

·        Love does not seek to succeed at the expense of others’ pain

·        Love fosters unity

·        Where there is love , there is peace

·        Love purifies our heart

·        Love renews our walk with God

·        Love smoothens our spiritual life

·        Love protects us and everyone around us

·        True love is unconditional

Stop struggling with any of the rules and commandments, what’s missing in your life is LOVE. If you love man , you’ll love God and if you love God , you’ll keep His laws and do His will without stress.

Ref : john 13 : 34

God’s love for us is the greatest reason He died in our stead, He didn’t die on the cross because we are remorseful of our sins but because He loved us even while we were in sin. His love for us is unconditional.

Are you constantly struggling in your marital relationship because your spouse isn’t showing any sign of remorse? or because you’re constantly counting their bad against their good ? if true love exists , it will wipe away their bad and bring to your remembrance their good .

Finally , to love God or man unconditionally as God commanded , you need God’s Grace – God is love therefore no man or woman can exhibit LOVE without God, simply go back to God to renew your love life and give you new eyes to see the good rather than the hurtful things your spouse does.

LET US PRAY!

Our dear and sovereign Lord, we acknowledge this day that of a truth TRUE LOVE is missing in our lives , we haven’t loved as you wanted , renew our love lives and outpour on us the enablement (GRACE) to love unconditionally so as to enjoy Heaven on earth during our sojourn here and do your will accordingly , these and more we pray In Jesus Name .
